Top WWE Superstars & Jobbers: 2017 Week 39

Big Dog

by Owen Douglass | September 29, 2017

Each week, we look through the win-loss records of the WWE Superstars during the year to see who really are the best and worst, if wins and losses actually mattered. You can view more over in our Statistics section. You can also help support us by subscribing to our Patreon.

No Mercy has come and gone, and Raw feels the impact of it despite being a not very good show. SmackDown continues to be defined by its tag title picture, and NXT is starting to mix things up as they have a TakeOver on the horizon. It's still a ways off though.

Top Raw Superstars

1 Finn Bálor 15-7-0 3 (+2) 1
2 Braun Strowman 14-8-2 2 1
3 Seth Rollins 17-12-1 5 (+2) 3
4 Matt Hardy 13-9-0 6 (+2) 2
5 Elias 12-8-0 10 (+5) 5

10 Dean Ambrose 14-14-2 - 10

Fallen off from last week: John Cena (1 - Hollywood), Jeff Hardy (7 - injured), Samoa Joe (9 - injured)

We did some cleanup this week, with John Cena apparently going away, Samoa Joe still being out, and Jeff Hardy now going out for surgery. That opens the door for big debuts by Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Aren't you excited to see those two fight again?! Please be excited.

Top SmackDown Superstars

# Superstar W-L-D Prev Peak
1 Shinsuke Nakamura 13-5-0 1 1
2 AJ Styles 18-12-2 2 2
3 Bobby Roode 8-2-0 3 2
4 Jimmy Uso 14-9-0 6 (+2) 4
5 Big E 11-6-0 4 (-1) 1
6 Kofi Kingston 10-5-0 5 (-1) 3
7 Jey Uso 13-9-0 9 (+2) 5
8 Jinder Mahal 17-14-0 7 (-1) 3
9 Randy Orton 14-11-1 8 (-1) 1
10 Xavier Woods 8-5-0 10 3

The Usos and New Day continue to be the ones to shift the rankings on SmackDown, as The Usos both move up two spots. Bobby Roode has been costing in the top 3 while he's not been wrestling for the past few weeks, but that will change next weekend as he makes his main roster pay-per-view debut against Dolph Ziggler.

Top Cruiserweights

# Superstar W-L-D Prev Peak
1 Akira Tozawa 27-8-1 1 1
2 Neville 24-10-0 2 1
3 Cedric Alexander 23-10-0 3 3
4 Rich Swann 21-10-0 4 3
5 Jack Gallagher 20-14-0 5 1

8 TJP 20-22-0 8 4
9 The Brian Kendrick 15-18-0 9 2
10 Enzo Amore 12-15-1 10 10

Nothing changed in the Cruiserweight division rankings-wise, but Enzo Amore won the championship and now everyone wants to kick his ass. So there's that.

Top NXT Superstars

# Superstar W-L-D Prev Peak
1 Aleister Black 10-0-0 1 1
2 Rezar 8-1-1 2 1
3 Drew McIntyre 7-0-1 3 3

10 Angelo Dawkins 3-0-0 - 10

Fallen off from last week: Eric Young (8)

Eric Young lost to the debuting Adam Cole (Bay Bay), which was enough to knock him off the list. Heavy Machinery won to solidify their move up while Angelo Dawkins paves the way for Street Profits to start making moves.

Top Female Superstars

# Superstar Brand W-L-D Prev Peak
1 Sasha Banks RAW 20-13-0 1 1
2 Asuka RAW 7-0-1 2 1
3 Carmella SD 11-7-2 4 (+1) 1

8 Naomi SD 11-9-1 8 1
9 Peyton Royce NXT 7-5-1 9 3
10 Natalya SD 11-10-1 10 9

Nia Jax may have had her best match ever at No Mercy, but she still lost. And then she lost again on Raw, so it wasn't really a good week for her overall. She fell two spots to Carmella (who also lost this week) and Sonya Deville (who wasn't active).

Owen and John kick things off by playing the trivia game HQ to kick off the show before they are forced to talk about wrestling. This week brought us Woken Matt Hardy, the women's divisions doing terribly, The 12 Days of Rusev, and NXT giving us a late entry for Match of the Year.
